Precept News
Dear residents,
On the 9th January, the council discussed the precept requirements for the new financial year (April 25-26).
It was decided to retain the current precept amount of £13,436, which will be used to cover projects in the parish and other running costs associated with the parish council. The council noted that following the previous years rise, it did not want to increase the amount further, this year, given other financial pressures facing households currently.
By retaining this amount, it means that households can expect to have an average reduction in their parish council bill of 5%, across the council tax bands. This is due to a change in the council tax base, likely a result of new properties in the parish.
Thank-you all for your continued support.
