Road Closure – 25th March 2025
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Moorfields Lane, Skelton from from junction of Road Between Hazelcrofts Bridge to Moorfields Lane heading East approximately 30m during the following period; 09:00 hours Tuesday 25th March 2025 until 14:00 hours Tuesday 25th March 2025
The road closure is necessary to enable a detailed bridge inspection on behalf of Network Rail the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 5 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Road From Hazelcrofts Bridge To Moorfields Lane, Skelton Broad Lane, Trandy Lane, Station Road, New Lane, Fox Lane, Main Street, Moorfields Lane, Laxton CP, Kilpin CP, Howdenshire Ward The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and residents.
